The local community supports Dottie's House at the annual Holiday Cocktail Party.
BRICK, NJ (December 5, 2016) – The annual Dottie’s House Holiday Cocktail Party, held on December 1 at River Rock in Brick, raised $33,000 to support the transitional housing program for women and children survivors of domestic violence.
Guests of the event enjoyed dinner and drinks and participated in a wine pull and silent auction. One lucky local family won $10,000 in the super 50/50 raffle and generously donated a portion back to Dottie’s House.
A special guest speaker shared her experience living at Dottie’s House and how the program helped her and her daughter’s life change for the better. Dottie’s House was more than a roof over her head, the therapy and counseling services taught her to manage her anger toward her abuser and feel a sense of community with the other residents.
Sponsors of the event include National Church Residences, Santander, Investors Bank, Michael J. Wright & Capoano Framing Contractors, Maser Consulting, Walters Group, Carluccio, Leone, Dimon, Doyle & Sacks, Health South Rehabilitation Hospital of Toms River, Mason, Griffin & Pierson, PC, Lakewood BlueClaws, The Pontoriero Law Firm, Jennifer D.
